Detailed Usage & Configuration

Mastering X (Twitter) Automation

The X (Twitter) Node allows you to orchestrate high-impact campaigns, customer service replies, and content syndication.

1. Setting Up OAuth 1.0a Credentials

Unlike standard OAuth 2.0 apps, X requires 4 specific keys for permanent API access. In the X Developer Portal, create an App with Read and Write permissions, then generate and provide the following: Consumer Key, Consumer Secret, Access Token, and Access Token Secret.

2. Resources & Operations

Choose between three main Resources: Tweet, Like, or Retweet.

  • Create Tweet: Post a brand new Tweet. Attach up to 4 images or videos by providing a comma-separated list of URLs in the Media URLs field. Enhance engagement safety by configuring Reply Settings (Everyone, Following, or Mentioned Users).
  • Reply / Quote (Tweet): Provide a Target Tweet ID to add your message as a reply or share an existing Tweet with commentary.
  • Like / Retweet: Automatically favorite or retweet a post. Note: Our system will securely auto-fetch your User ID to perform this action.
  • Delete: You can revert any of the above actions by selecting the Delete operation and providing the target Tweet ID.

3. Handling Media (Photos & Videos)

If you want to attach media, provide direct Media URLs separated by commas (e.g., https://img1.jpg, https://img2.jpg). nLink will temporarily stream this media in chunks directly to X's servers, allowing up to 4 images per Tweet. Important: Always select the correct Media Type (Image or Video) to ensure X processes the file formats correctly.
